Pundit calls for Arsenal star to be retrospectively banned
Gary Lineker believes that Jamie Vardy's extended ban for his outburst at the referee has set a precedent (via The Sun), and has called for Mesut Özil to face a similar ban for disrespecting the referee during our 1-0 win over Norwich. Right near the end of what proved to be another frustrating game, Özil was booked for a high boot. He clearly wasn't happy with the decision, and threw his hands up in the air showing his disapproval, as well as turning his back on the referee before the yellow card was brandished.
