Mesut Ozil signs new contract at Arsenal - David Ornstein ARSENAL playmaker Mesut Ozil has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2021. By David Wright / Published 31st January 2018 Ozil’s previous deal was due to expire in the summer and has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal. There has been talk of the Germany international leaving like Alexis Sanchez, who departed for Manchester United in a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan earlier this month. But the former Real Madrid star has put pen to paper on a new three-and-a-half year deal at the Emirates.
