Arsenal chief Arsene Wenger has confessed that he was somewhat surprised when his side managed to beat Liverpool to the signature of Alexis Sanchez last summer. The Reds and the Gunners were the two frontrunners for the Chile international, who was forced out of Barcelona following the arrival of Luis Suarez.
