Antonio Valencia Set For New Manchester United Contract
It has been revealed that Manchester United are set to tie down Antonio Valencia to a new contract. The Sun is reporting that the Ecuador international has had ‘his contract extended until June 2018' by signing ‘a new two-year deal'. It is understood that Jose Mourinho has given the go-ahead for United to secure the services of Valencia who has made the right-back position his own this season. The 31-year-old was reportedly worried that United would not exercise the one-year option on his existing deal, which expires this summer. Valencia, who joined United from Wigan Athletic in 2009, has played 18 times for the Red Devils this season.
