Manchester United hero Cristiano Ronaldo: I could have joined Arsenal
Cristiano Ronaldo came close to joining Arsenal. And that’s according to the Real Madrid talisman himself. The Portuguese superstar joined Manchester United in 2003 from Sporting Lisbon. Sir Alex Ferguson first became alerted to Ronaldo’s ability when the Red Devils suffered a 3-1 friendly defeat to his side prior to his move.
