Arsenal hero wants Brazilian to replace struggling star
Arsenal hero Frank McLintock has called on Arsene Wenger to bomb Per Mertesacker out his XI and give winter addition Gabriel Paulista a chance to impress. The Gunners landed the Brazilian star from Villarreal earlier this year as Arsene Wenger set about adding depth to his rearguard options. For much of the start of the season the Frenchman was forced to use full-backs such as Nacho Monreal and Calum Chambers at centre-back following the sale of Thomas Vermaelen and injury issues surrounding Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny.
