Arsenal News: Perez admission, Barcelona's Mustafi swipe, Wilshere's Beckham advice
Lucas Perez claims Arsene Wenger wanted to sign him in January. The Deportivo La Coruna forward joined the Gunners in a £17m deal earlier this week. Wenger saw moves for Leicester's Jamie Vardy and Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette rebuffed. But Perez reckons he could have pulled on an Arsenal shirt much earlier than the summer.
Jack Wilshere trains for the first time with Bournemouth
He said: "The Arsenal offer came just days before the end of the transfer window. "But I knew about the interest of Arsenal for a long time. "They showed interest in me during the January transfer window but then I couldn't leave." Arsenal may have overpaid for Shkodran Mustafi....
