Morning all. When Michael Oliver booked Hector Bellerin very early in the game, I thought, oh no, here we go again, the officials have it in for us. But to be honest, the tackle was a sign of a young man who was eager to win his war on the right hand side of defence but got his timing all wrong. Did that bother him, it sure didn't, he was superb and played beyond his young years. In the centre of defence was a very different Per Mertesacker – so much so, imo, last night was one of his better performances in an Arsenal shirt.
