Ozil named Germany's Player of the Year 2015
For the fifth time in seven years Mesut Ozil has been voted Germany's Player of the Year by his compatriots. The Arsenal playmaker, who has been in majestic form for club and country in 2015, secured 45.9% of the 51,000 votes cast, beating Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller (15.9%) and Cologne's Jonas Hector (13.6%) into second and third respectively. The German Football Federation (DFB) shared the following stats about Ozil's performances for Die Mannschaft in 2015. He played eight out of nine international matches. He was on the pitch an average 94.38 mins / game. He ran a total of 92.71 kilometres in eight games. He had 14 shots on goal. He made six assists. He made 612 passes in the year...
