Arsenal Expected To Complete £7M Deal For Mohamed Elneny
It has been revealed that Arsenal are confident closing a deal for Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny next week. The Mail on Sunday claims that Arsenal expect to complete the £7million signing of Elneny from Basel this week — but the Egyptian looks like being their only foray into the January transfer market, with manager Arsene Wenger believing he can win the title with the basis of the current squad. Arsenal have also considered a move for Granit Xhaka, the 23-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, but that will now wait until the summer with the Bundesliga club unwilling to sell in the January window.
