Wenger Considers Resting Ozil Over The Christmas Period
It has been revealed that Arsenal are aiming to give Mesut Ozil a rest over the Christmas period to avoid the German playmaker becoming the next victim of the club's injury crisis. According to Standard Sport, the Gunners are closely monitoring Ozil's fitness after he reported a slight tightness in his calf following last Wednesday's 3-0 win at Olympiakos. Arsenal are in the midst of an eight-day break before their next engagement and Ozil is certain to start Monday's Premier League match against Manchester City barring any setback.
