Arsene Wenger Happy Remi Garde Took Aston Villa Job
It has been revealed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is happy Remi Garde took the Aston Villa job. Garde, who was part of the 1997-98 Double-winning Gunners side, took the Villa job after speaking to Wenger about it – but the pair have not talked since. Wenger said: 'In his position, when you have an opportunity, you take it. A job like Villa, you have to. What you want is to show your quality. 'I told him not to think about it too much. In the Premier League, a boss leaves and in one hour there are 500 candidates to replace him. 'So when you have a chance, you take it.'
