Bayern Loss Additional Motivation For Tottenham Clash – Per Mertesacker
It has been reported that Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker believes that Wednesday's embarrassing 5-1 defeat against Bayern Munich will motivate the Gunners for Sunday's North London Derby. Spurs will travel to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday on the back of an undefeated run of 10 leagues games and Mertesacker acknowledges Arsenal will have to play their best football if they hope to secure a positive result against their arch-rivals. 'We will learn a lot from this game, we must learn a lot and we have to play better against Tottenham,' he said. 'We have played well recently, defended well and that's what we must focus on. But if we are to beat Tottenham then we have to recover quickly.'
