Arsenal boss criticises Liverpool over Klopp appointment
Arsene Wenger has been highly critical of Liverpool's decision to axe former boss Brendan Rodgers and replace him with Jurgen Klopp, claiming he doesn't understand the rationale behind their actions. The Northern Irishman was unceremoniously sacked recently, with Liverpool clearly having Klopp in mind to replace him. Wenger believes the Merseyside club acted too hastily however, and should have given Rodgers more time. He pointed out that the club haven't won the league since 1990 (before the conception of the Premier League), and that they came closest under Rodgers two years ago.
