Wenger Sad To See ‘Quality' Brendan Rodgers Sacked By Liverpool
It has been reported that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he was sad to see Brendan Rodgers given the flick by Liverpool. The Northern Irishman was sacked by the Reds on Sunday, just hours after the 1-1 Merseyside draw with Everton at Goodison Park, and his Gunners counterpart Wenger spoke of the Anfield club's decision at his post-match press conference following the 3-0 win over Manchester United. 'I'm always sad when that happens. I think he's a quality manager and unfortunately the pressure is always bigger on the managers, and to resist the disappointments more difficult,' said Wenger. 'I think what he had done at Liverpool…he was very unlucky not to win the Premier League....
