Loan System Needed For Player Development – Arsene Wenger
It has been reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says they'll continue to utilise the loan system. Arsenal have loaned out the likes of Yaya Sanogo and Chuba Akpom this season, even though that has potentially left them short of options up front. But Wenger insists it is the only way to get them ready for the Premier League: “They need competition. It is difficult because when you have too many players you cannot play them and if you do not play them they don't improve. So you have to decide to get them somewhere to play. “People then say ‘Why do you loan them out, because you could need them?' and it's true. But you have to make a decision at some stage with their career....
