Ex-Arsenal Defender Ashley Cole Rejected Deadline Day Move To Newcastle United
It has been reported that Newcastle United failed with a deadline day bid for Roma fullback Ashley Cole. Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Cole refused a deadline-day move to Newcastle. The 34-year-old former Arsenal and Chelsea fullback has been left out of Rudi Garcia's 21-man Champions League squad and it looks like he won't feature prominently in the Roma coach's plans, with a January exit on the cards. Garcia admits the board has told him not to consider Cole for selection.
