Arsene Wenger reveals Liverpool refused to sell star man to Arsenal
Arsene Wenger claimed this week that he feels no sympathy for a Liverpool side who lost their best player over the summer after the Reds refused to sell us Luis Suarez in 2013, The Evening Standard reports. The Raheem Sterling saga seemed to dominate the column inches over the summer and Liverpool were eventually forced to sell their prized asset, albeit for an inflated price. Manchester City were the beneficiaries and Wenger believes that Sterling behaved sensibly throughout the summer in a situation which generally occurs during a transfer window.
