Arsenal midfielder suffers another injury blow

Mikel Arteta has picked up another calf injury Arteta returned to pre-season training this week, however he was absent from Arsenal's 4-0 victory over a Singapore Select XI as he was not fit to play, according to the Times. The Gunners skipper has been sidelined since last November after picking up a calf injury during the Champions League group-stage victory over Borussia Dortmund, however this latest knock is not thought to be related. The 33-year-old midfielder is desperate to return to action for Arsene Wenger's side having missed much of last season with calf and ankle injuries. Arteta recently committed his future to the Emirates by signing a new one-year contract...
