Arsenal's Lukas Podolski: 'Joining Inter Milan on loan was a mistake'
Lukas Podolski has admitted that signing for Inter Milan on loan from Arsenal last season was a "mistake". The 30-year-old, who won the World Cup with Germany in 2014, scored just the once during a six-month spell at the San Siro. The forward's long-term future remains uncertain, but the player himself has insisted that he is better suited to Arsenal. "English football is the one which best suits my style, but I know how suddenly everything can change," Podolski told Bild. "I have characteristics to help different teams, but it was a mistake to go to Inter with no redemption clauses. "In football there are times when everything doesn't work out for the best....
