Southampton 'left frustrated' over transfer talks for Arsenal's Maitland-Niles
Ainsley Maitland-Niles could remain at Arsenal beyond the transfer deadline. The versatile 23-year-old has played both at wing-back, right back and in central midfield under Mikel Arteta, but has not featured in any of their last three domestic outings. With Maitland-Niles keen to be playing regular football, he has been linked with a string of Premier League clubs including Southampton, Leicester and West Brom. However, it now appears as though one of those clubs has withdrawn from the race as the deadline fast approaches - but not because of Gunners chiefs.
