MIkel Arteta's Arsenal kitty boosted by ditching Mesut Ozil's excessive wages
Mesut Ozil 's Arsenal nightmare appears to be nearing its conclusion. The playmaker's seven-year stay in north London is all-but over, with reports suggesting a Fenerbahce transfer could be sealed this weekend. Arsenal and Ozil have reached an agreement which will see his contract terminated with immediate effect so he can leave the Emirates on a free. With the player's deal due up at the end of the season, it will mean the Gunners will save a whopping £7m in wages between now and the summer.
