Man United and Arsenal defensive target rejects double offer
Manchester United and Arsenal target Benedikt Howedes has rejected two offers in regards to his potential transfer in favour of remaining at Schalke 04, Express reports. The 27-year-old became a target for both clubs as the Premier League pair were looking to reinforce their defence with a new centre-back. He was on the verge of an exit due to a £12million release clause in his contract, but because it expired at the start of the week, the Bundesliga giants are back in control of his future.
